Here at The Old Inn of Bethlehem we’re sensitive to the needs of our patrons. Due to the recent census issued by Caesar Augustus we’ve been forced to increase our guest-relations policy. As one of Bethlehem’s most popular inns we will be increasing our staff by twice its size in order to accommodate our patrons. The Roman census has caused an immense overcrowding in the local inns and many travelers have been turned away with no place to go but a manger. Our goal as an establishment is to prevent this outcome the best we can with your help.
Innkeeper
As an Innkeeper you will be in charge of the basic operations such as cleaning, providing meals, and turning down expectant mothers on donkeys. Despite the occasional Wiseman, the work atmosphere is rather routine, but still enjoyable. You will be provided with living accommodations and your own makeshift bedpan. Unfortunately no prayer shawls, Torahs, or yamakas are allowed anywhere at anytime in the inn due to Roman law, but you will be given our trademark polo shirt. When on duty all shirts must be tucked in, beards and sideburns must be trimmed to a maximum of three inches, and baths are required every three weeks. Employees are not permitted to allow checkout on the Sabbath day. You are required to check all patrons’ packhorses and or beasts of burden before check in is permitted. It will be your job as Junior Manager to provide a complimentary shuttle to the nearest census location twice a day, as well as provide a complementary continental breakfast every morning. Our self-serving environment is ideal for shut-ins and hermits alike who are interested in a stable full time career in hotel management. If you’re able to meet our requirements and are tired of your career in tax collecting, then this might be the job for you.
