Plot summary: As obscure and unlikely as this may seem, Pistol Pete (originally known as Peg Leg Pete) is the oldest recurring character in Disney animation history. He predates Donald. He predates Goofy. He predates Mickey Mouse. The only character he doesn't predate is Walt. Pete began his career with Disney in the mid twenties as a new villain in Walt's Alice Adventure series, namely 1925's Alice Solves The Puzzle. He was featured as the main villain for all future Alice comedies, and then moved on to become Oswald The Lucky Rabbit's arch nemesis. And then, when Walt broke off on his own, he debuted as Mickey's rival in 1928's Steamboat Willy. During these years, he was known as Peg Leg Pete due to his wooden leg, which he eventually had replaced with a prosthetic (this is why he always kicks Goofy in the ass with his right foot.) He would have various other monikers over his career... Black Pete, Pete and Pete, and during the 60's he embraced the flower power movement, joined the Heaven's Gate Cult and was known as Little Bo Pete. He stayed busy throughout the 60's, then fell off during the 70's, only to return to prominence in 1983 as the ghost of Christmas Future in Mickey's Christmas Carol. This role would eventually win him a co-starring role in 1992's Goof Troop series, where we were introduced to Pete's wife Peg, his daughter Pistol (Jr), his son PJ (also Pistol Jr) and his dog Chainsaw. He went on to also co-star in both Goofy movies, then segued into real estate as the landlord for Mickey's House of Mouse. His most recent film role was as the corrupt Captain Pete in last summer's remake The Three Musketeers. After this success, he pulled a complete career change and joined the NBA, where he became the first man/dog thing to become a top scorer. (more) User Comments: Pete is one mean guy.
