Outfit: Fur / Dog Collar Tagline: "ARF ARF ARF!" Plot summary: Pluto first appeared as Mickey's faithful dog Pluto The Pup in the 1930 Mickey short "Moose Hunt," though he'd actually appeared earlier the same year as Minnie's dog Rover in "The Picnic." Ever Mickey's loyal companion, Pluto has enjoyed not only the vast majority of Mickey's affection, but also the perks. Pluto enjoyed a successful solo career a full 70 years before Minnie ever got the opportunity, and all without even being able to recite lines. Pluto's solo career consisted mostly of cautionary tales concerning the consequences of one's actions when not thought out before hand and appreciation for what really mattered in life. Whether he was trying to murder the comedy duo known as Chip and Dale, or ended up the victim of a brutal assault at the hands of a vicious bull dog due to an attempted affair with said bull dog's bitch, Pluto always ended the day, win or lose, at the foot of his master, glad to still be alive. Pluto is said to be a mutt, a term of affection used towards him by Mickey on several occasions. His actual pedigree is unknown, though for years it has been rumored that he is actually the illegitimate love child of none other than Goofy himself, the mentally handicapped and genetically mutated by-product of a brief dalliance between Goofy and the loose gutter whore known as Clarabel Cow. (more) User Comments: Pluto's look has remained virtually unchanged for 74 years, which is an astounding lifespan for a dog (518 human years,) which is perhaps a side-affect of his rumored dog-cow genetic makeup. Foregoing the cute doggie shirts and hats worn by so many other canines, Pluto prefers to go "au naturale," with the exception of his dog collar, which he wears as a sign of loyalty to Mickey. The only known change to his look in the past 74 years was the addition of a Charlie-Brownish black zig-zag pattern across his midsection, which mysteriously appeared after he was run over by a parade float at the Magic Kingdom in early 2004.
